A cult that worships the Great Old One Shub-Niggurath or The Black Goat.

History[]

Held a ritual in 1924 that took place in the basement of 58 Pelican Lane in attempt to summon the Black Goat. This attempt was unsuccessful due to a series of events, and allowed instead The King In Yellow to come through to this world as a fragment.[1]

The ritual consisted of a stone "sacrificial" slab, a podium upon which rested a book, and a stone arch/gateway. Two decomposed bodies were found, entangled in some sort of fight or brawl.[2]

The Stanczyk Mansion[]

In the Stanczyk mansion, the Cult of the Black Goat had at least one relic: a wheel on a pillar which activates the mechanics inside a typewriter to write a message: "The Black Goat Comes." The typewriter is abnormal, fused with a dead crow. The crow is sewn back together with wire and metal, its beak is bent upwards as if broken and taped back together. The wire is thrust through its open maw and into the mechanical gears of the machine.[4]
